Tenbury CE Primary Academy Early Help Offer

Tenbury Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

At Tenbury, we believe that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. Mrs Kerri Phelps (Headteacher) is our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). Mrs Caroline Baker (Early Years Co-ordinator) is our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Mr James Oliver is our governor with responsibility for safeguarding. All staff receive annual safeguarding training through our DSL, as well as regular updates throughout the year. Any new staff receive safeguarding training delivered by the DSL, as part of their induction to school. In addition, all staff in school, whatever their role, receive safeguarding training by an external provider, every three years.

Providing early help to our children and families at Tenbury Primary means we are more effective in promoting support as soon as we can. Early help means providing support as soon as a problem emerges, at any point in a child's life, beginning with the Foundation Stage.

We endeavour to create a school ethos that promotes trust between all adults and children, so that all children know they are able to talk to someone if they have any concerns or worries.

At Tenbury Primary we are here to work closely with you and other professionals, to ensure you have the required level of support needed. Please see below for the early help support we are able to offer all of our children and families in order to ensure they get the right help at the right time, before issues get worse:
