Axolotl Class (Y4)

Welcome to the class page for Amazing Axolotl Class (Year 4)

Mr Bell is our class teacher, with Mrs Leach and Mrs Hughes our teaching assistants who helps us out in the mornings, while Mrs Bannister teaches us RE and PSHE on Thursdays.

In Axolotl Class, we work hard together on lots of different and exciting things. Some of our topics this year include; how The Internet works, the Roman invasion of Britain and Electricity. We also love to stay active with swimming on a Tuesday (during the Autumn Term), and PE on Fridays. We also love running the daily mile!

In Axolotl Class we also go on our first residential trip to the Pioneer Centre, which is very exciting!

Homework includes reading, spellings, times tables and topic-based POWer projects. Children should be reading for 10 minutes a day, practising their spellings and 25 minutes of Times Tables practise weekly. This is to help with mental arithmetic and the end of year expectation that Year 4 children should know their times tables.

Our Amazing Axolotl Class newsletter will keep you informed of all the exciting things we are learning about and which children earn our special class certificates every Friday!
