‘Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.’
Welcome to Giraffe class!
We are taught by Mrs Wright on Monday-Thursday mornings, and Mrs Hickman every afternoon and all day Friday. We also have Mrs Brittain and Mrs Leach, who help and support us. Our bright and friendly classroom changes throughout the year depending on what we’re learning about but we get to share and ‘show off’ our topic learning to our families at open afternoons, so look out for when our next open afternoon is!
In the first half term our topic is ‘Flight’. We’re looking forward to learning all about different flying machines and we will even design and create our own flying aircraft! There’s lots of tasks and activities that we can choose from for our POWer projects homework and we love sharing this work with the rest of the class. 😊
Every Monday, half the class have a Forest School session with Mr Bell and Mrs Baldwin. Try to remember your week so that you have everything you need for the outdoors!
Each week, Giraffes should be practising their spellings, reading at least three times a week and accessing Numbots on Times Tables Rockstars (10 mins weekly). To support our Topic learning, children also choose POWer projects to complete during the half term.
Every week, we will update you on all the learning that the Great Giraffes have been doing so please check our weekly newsletter shared on the website and class page.
We have such an exciting year ahead of us with some fabulous topics to learn about and we’re sure that the Giraffes will rise to their new challenges!
