‘Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.’
Welcome to the class page for Iguana Class! (Year 4)
It is the year we move to the junior block with Year 5 and 6. Mr Bell is our class teacher, and Miss Stevens is our teaching assistant who helps us out in the mornings. On Thursdays Mrs Bannister teaches us RE and PSHE.
In Iguana Class, we work hard together on lots of different and exciting things. Some of our topics this year include; how the internet works, the Roman invasion of Britain and electricity. We also love to stay active with swimming on a Tuesday (during the autumn term), and sessions with the Shrewsbury Town coach Mr Jones on Wednesday afternoons during the spring term. We also love running the daily mile!
In Iguana Class we also go on our first residential trip to Manor Adventure, which is very exciting!
Homework includes reading, spellings, times tables and the usual POWer projects. Children should be reading for 10 minutes a day, practising their spellings and completing 10 minutes of Numbots practise and 15 minutes of Times Tables practise weekly. This is to help with mental arithmetic and the end of year expectation that Year 4 children should know their times tables.
