‘Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.’
Welcome to Llama Class!
We are taught by Mr Bell throughout the week, with Mrs Bannister teaching us on Wednesday afternoons. During the week Mrs Stevens works with us in the mornings and Mrs. Morris joins us for guided reading on Mondays and on Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
This year our first topic is 'The World's Kitchen'. We will learn about how different countries are famous for different types of food, where the fresh food in our local supermarket comes from, changes in the British diet since 1940 and the importance of fair trade.
Over the course of the year some of the topics we will be investigating in depth are; Roman Britain, crime and punishment, and sporting achievement against the odds.
Our PE days this term are Tuesdays (outdoor) and Fridays (indoor). During the autumn term we will be swimming on Tuesday afternoons (starting 24th September), so please remember your swimming kit! Throughout the rest of the year we aim to give the children access to a wide range of sports (gymnastics, athletics, football, orienteering, and dance) to give every child a chance to shine and inspire others.
We have lots of other amazing things to look forward to through the term.
For us, learning like a llama means we approach all challenges with a positive attitude to try our best, celebrate learning from our mistakes and always look for opportunities to help and support our fellow Llamas!
