Hello and welcome to Hippo Class!

Our teacher is Mrs Baker who is with us every day along with Miss Lort, our Teaching Assistant. In our class we have lots of fun learning through play. We love our classroom, it's bright and colourful and full of exciting things to do. We enjoy playing in the 'Role Play' area, reading books in our 'Jungle' and spending time in our ‘Natural Area’. Every day we have group activities in Mathematics, Phonics, Reading and Topic.

Our PE days are a Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon, when we can enjoy both indoor and outdoor sporting activities. Every week, a group of us goes out to Forest Schools with Mr Bell and Mrs Baldwin. We have great fun exploring and playing outdoors with our friends in our Forest Schools area. Our topics this term are: ‘Starting School and All About Me’, ‘Seeing Eyes’, ‘Hearing Ears’, ‘Touching Hands’, ‘Smelling Noses’ and ‘Tasting Tongues’. We have lots of exciting activities planned for Hippo class and look forward to celebrating them with you!
